Doesn’t Matter if Everybody Doing It – We Need You to Do It!

One thing I realized as a person on a journey to pursue vision and fulfillment is snide comments from people close to me. One of my favorite snide comment is when people I grew up with try to offset me with someone else telling me that person is making more money – that’s when I know I’m listening to a loser who not handling it like me, needing a third-party “rich” person to knock me down, how pathetic. LOL – let me try to mimic how they talk to me – “I know this person who making a lot of money doing what you doing!” – yeah, that’s how these losers are talking to a brotha before I cut them off permanently from my life.

As you decide how to expand your revenue streams and pursue channels to promote yourself, I need you to watch out for those you talk your dreams to. Not everybody needs to hear about what you doing because they cannot handle what you doing. Some people in your life, you going to realize they were constantly judging you, benchmarking themselves against you, and worried about you becoming Black Excellence and leaving them behind. These people you going to realize how you let them close to you in your life to be able to be dismissive and discounting of what you doing or trying to do.

The Black Economic Explosion will need Black Excellence like yourself to contribute value that only you as a unique person can bring your unique offerings. No one is like you because no one walked in your shoes to be the person you are today. A true economic explosion requires a diversity of innovation, stories, and personalities – you are definitely needed to be part of this movement with your own personal contribution of value – we need you.

I want you to watch out for people who will make a certain statement when we talk about what we are striving to do. They will say “everybody is doing that” and that is when you talking about creating a podcast, creating a blog, launching a pop-up store. People who say “everyone is doing it” is actually coming from a place of being dismissive of who you are as a unique person and what you are trying to contribute as part of the bigger picture. There is no reason ever for a person to tell you or anybody “everybody is doing it” to try to flatline or make generic of what you are engaged in.

So what everybody making a cooking show on YouTube, we need your recipes from your experience and your family tradition. So what everybody making a podcast, we need your voice, your perspective to add to the color of the conversation. So what everybody writing a book, your story is uniquely yours and we need to hear your unique story, written on paper for not only us but for future generations to read and see a slice of life back when you were in that moment.

With that said, prepare to cut off anybody who uses the verbiage “everybody is doing it” because you are not everybody – you are a unique contributor of value, and your voice and your story is going out there. We don’t need negative people like that in our community and the Black community allowed negative clowns like that talk too much around us for too long. Everybody has something of value to offer and you focus on just doing what you think needs to be done. We are the ones wanting to hear and read what you got to share and we are waiting for you.
