The core technologies advanced by ADOS Digerati Atlanta are blockchain, chatbots and the cloud. In this article, let's cover the latest advancements and state of these technologies to provide insight on the direction we are headed. 

Blockchain

While overrated Silicon Valley and Wall Street struggle to find viable use cases for blockchain technology, ADOS Digerati Atlanta has made extraordinary progress developing distributed ledger technology patterns and practices for urban communities.

The current flaw of both Silicon Valley and Wall Street fruitless blockchain pursuits is the unnecessary and distracted focus on non-essential features such as “consensus” or underlying token currencies. The biggest challenge we see with Silicon Valley and Wall Street unable to mature blockchain paradigms is the reliance on inexperienced tech grandeur actors unable to separate ideological beliefs ("decentralization") from the important and skill-based work for delivering real-world outcome-driven use cases.

Upcoming Fooky.com blockchain offering by Swagg-Scientific have several variations of blockchain technology: 

Two-Party. This is the current blockchain offering where two parties digitally sign to agree to a natural language directive a bot will verify the signatures and execute. 

One-Party Directive. In this model, just one party will provide a message for a bot to verify and execute. The blockchain directive model will be designed for message-orientated architecture to quickly execute natural language commands. For example, the 3rd Strategic Institute was required to sign any new Dream and Hustle activations but with directive, the bot will activate new Dream and Hustle members automatically after verification. 

Asset Vault. This is where digital assets are stored encrypted on a pre-written ledger. A second ledger will write the entry of the digital asset being processed such as transferred to another entity or activated. The Kossier prepaid card program works in this fashion where the card serial codes are pre-written on a distributed ledger and when a business want to create prepaid cards or gift cards, they can transfer serial codes to be later activated by their customers.

Chatbots

The latest generation of chatbot technology is based on a web service-orientated paradigm. Both Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure are offering service known as Conversation as a Service (CaaS) where an application offer chat to their customers where phrase entered by a customer is processed on the CaaS platform and will return the response to the conversation to the customer as a reply. 

Chatbots user interfaces have become standardized where chatbot templates are available for both Windows and Mac platforms, over the web, software applications and mobile apps. Meaning not only are chatbots simpler to setup, but chatbot developers can write-once and deploy chatbot code anywhere including Facebook instant messenger and smart home devices similar to Alexa. 

The next generation Kossier by Swagg-Scientific will offer a conversation-based UX to perform tasks previous requiring buttons, forms, clicks and taps. Furthermore, instead of scanning QR code to redirect to a Kossier URL, the Kossier user can simply snap a picture of a QR code, upload during a chat session where the chatbot will read the QR code as part of the conversation.

We strongly believe this is a big opportunity in the ADOS Digerati arena. We also believe chatbot jobs will eventually obsolete the social media marketing job and advise anyone in a social media marketing position to begin learning chatbot technology to stay ahead in the game.

Another key factor is chatbot developers have to understand language localization to custom tailor language learning for different cultures and demographics as well. For example, skateboard culture will speak to a chatbot differently than a corporate customer and this has to be considered when creating chatbots to target a certain demographic. 

Clouds

Cloud technology has moved beyond a remote hosted server space - today cloud tech are virtual spaces operating as pop-up models, outsourced or hybrid processing and storage containers. For the ADOS Digerati, planning cloud services today is now focused on building remote or virtual spaces in lieu of more expensive spaces. For example, someone in the ADOS Digerati can create a cloud-based digital service to temporarily  market within the West African region for a month to gauge if the West African market is viable for future expansion. 

The best use cases we seen are creating full-service enterprise models on the cloud such as a full retailing software stack. This new paradigm of cloud-based services will allow startup retail businesses to simply hookup cheap Chromebooks to an empty commercial space and immediately have all the retail processes to manage inventory, transactions and promotions up and running immediately. 

This level of cloud technology is critical to the rapid and fluid economic development of urban communities worldwide. Swagg-Scientific is looking at cloud technology for DBEXX, a market exchange platform to quickly ramp up in urban communities to begin local community asset trading. More examples are cloud-based infrastructures to run a local sporting event or comedy club. 

Moving Forward 

It is apparent from an ADOS Digerati perspective, we are in some of the most exciting times in terms of leveraging technology as tools to create an ecosystem of empowerment in urban communities and urban people lives worldwide.  Let's go through an example scenario with a comedy club. 

Today, an entrepreneur can lease cloud-based software to run a comedy event on a certain date and they will have 60 days of vault-based blockchain tickets to sell to the public. The tickets can be sold and transferred up to the event date on the blockchain and redeem from the blockchain. Chatbots can facilitate the sale of the tickets and transfers of the ticket over social media with little human involvement, providing customer support. On the event date, the comedians can perform and chatbots can even take mobile phone orders to serve food and drinks - this is  not fantasy, this is the current technology environment and opportunities right now the ADOS Digerati is pursuing. 

The most critical component to establish economic development is market making – the ability to facilitate transactions and interactions between customers and businesses. Blockchain, chatbots and clouds offers the ability to quickly ramp up such interactions and transactions that lead to economic activity within a given community.
