Elke Music Project Debut and Distribution Strategy

Elke debut project “Here I Am” has been released. This is a downtempo artist, meaning Elke can move into different urban/electronic styles of music and has a wide range of markets she can thrive in. Her preview tracks received a lot of positive responses and there is growing interest in her as an AI artist.

We have learned a lot from the data and experience from previous releases. Starting with Clara Ney, it was decided to throw it at the wall and see if it sticks.  I am working with a few people now with Elke. She is also the first artist to debut on the MochaStar Media platform.

With the new team, the focus is to establish a proven strategy to ensure our artists like Elke becomes connected with her fan base and grow as an up-and-coming artist.

Here are some strategies and notes that we are going to implement to manage Elke artist grown and development.

Quality Production. We are spending the extra money, create a lot of music and demos and refine to a polish sound and experience. We are going to release only what we know are solid hits and have longevity for years and even decades to come. We have multiple production techniques where we have a real production studio as well as AI-studio development software.

Fan Discovery. As stated before, you do not want to be promoting your artist to people in your social circle – most of them side hating and never wanted to see you rise, you’ll find this out when the time is right. You want your fans to discover your artist and identify with your artist works and become attached. That is how you found your favorite artist and keep this same craft in mind. You want your artist to have fans and consumers to support the shows, the releases, the merchandise, not have your cousin or schoolmates approve of you trying to get your game up.

Project Singles. With Clara Ney, we released the entire project initially to introduce the full experience of her talent as a flutist. With Elke as a vocalist, we are going to revert to something I wrote in a Dream and Hustle article over a decade ago. I stated artists should be releasing perpetual singles and explain that album label deals never work out well for an artist. What happens is artists are forced to create albums with some songs that are slop and only one or two hits. But with singles, you can quickly adjust with each song released and nimbler.

Music Videos. We are in production of music videos for Elke to be released. This has been the mistake of previous AI artists. Our videos will be of high-quality productions, even if they are abstract. Be mindful that not only music videos, but we will also have a live chillhop stream for Clara Ney study hop as well as Tina Holmes and her science and technology episodes and Ben the Builder.  We are currently in production and on video production, a lot of bad outtakes until we got the right shot for the final cut.

Web Site. We are not targeting social media first – this is a mistake. You want your hub to be your web site or mobile application, then you use social media for the distribution of information from your web site to keep you in control of your media and marketing. Our web site for MochaStar media will have the music release, the virtual tours, upcoming video snippets of concerts and fan meet-and-greet and sell merchandise through our own e-commerce shop.

Human Interaction. In Japan, we will have a team dedicated to picking up phones, sending emails, establishing spaces to promote our AI artist. We will have fan engagement events and target places around the world. People working at MochaStar Media will need a passport and be ready to promote Elke as a record shop in Belgium and Spain before flying off to Dubai and Singapore.

Elke project will be released on YouTube in singles, not the full project and will be released over time. On YouTube, we are going to publish the videos as unlisted so only views coming in from our links are done to help us build up her fan base organically, not from randoms. Also, we produced Elke project in high quality audio format for hi-fidelity equipment. She will also have her own publishing and merchandising gear. Her market will primarily be European, but she have global reach as chillhop and downtempo and lo-fi is worldwide at coffee shops to studyhop streaming stations.

On our MochaStar platform, Elke full project will be available on a subscription-access basis as well as our other media releases.

One more thing I have to say again – the readers here is not Elke or Clara Ney audience, and she is not subject to their judgement. Let’s be honest – most readers here are trying to judge Ed Dunn success or failure and want to lurk. They lurking to run their mouth if I fail, stay quiet if I succeed, you know how the game works. That’s why we are moving to the paid subscription model very soon so Dream and Hustle can have a real ecosystem of serious readers.
