Use a Webcentric Approach to Building Afropunk and Afroasiatic Platforms

In the era of the self-ecosystem, it is critical you establish control of your creative assets and your value stream. You do not want some uppity self-important clowns at Black Enterprise or the goofy characters at Blavity trying to tell you your Black individualism is not compatible with the Black identity they are selling as DEI to corporate advertisers.

Black media does not belong to some corporate Black media that panders to White corporate advertisers.

Black media belongs to you - you are the fireflies with the light to attract other fireflies through your self-ecosystem and this Afroasiatic era is the start of a new paradigm of media that is self-introspective and something to share with those other fireflies trying to shine.

They never wanted you as a Black individualist to see yourself as the light that attracts other lights - garbage like Blavity and AfroTech were trying to create cliques and thought White corporations and Silicon Valley validation would make them Blacker media - it was always us that made us as a people.

We are no longer accepting Black gatekeepers in our community  - we will handle that nonsense if we have to. Today, we have your self-ecosystem with AI to help you create value streams of the individual self to provide as your unique gift for the world and reach those out there on the same wavelength as you. It’s time to go find yourself and find your people and the common value stream. That’s your true purpose you've been trying to figure out all this time.

Web Sites as the Medium of Agency

Black Excellence's most strategic advantage is to operate at agency, meaning no one is controlling or trying to police your actions as a Black person trying to be the best version of themselves in this world and one life they have to live.

Platforms like YouTube or X and others have the power to shadow ban, throttle, or demonetize you to enforce what you can and cannot do or say. Mobile apps can also block you from their Google Play or Apple App Store or Microsoft Store or Amazon Prime. Then you got funny acting Black people like Morgan DeBaun and her goofy Blavity setup that want to pick and choose what Black person to cover.

You don’t want to expose yourself to this kind of risk to your ability to broadcast your self-ecosystem in the hands of another mortal when your inner purpose came from the most high. The best solution is to focus on a web site and build up from the web site platform, not third party platforms like Discord or TikTok that also does a lot of censoring.

You center everything from your web site and branch out the features if you have to. You advertise only your web site, not social media. You link to social media from your web site but you do not make social media the primary channel for your platform. You set up payments through your web site to multiple payment providers and you handle the processing through the web site.

This way, there will be no woke mob trying to take down your Afroasiatic self-ecosystem as a threat to MSNBC and the DNC who want you on the plantation voting Democrat out of emotions and not step out of line. Protecting yourself, your agency is the most critical step of Black Excellence.

You will be surprised at the number of Black people, especially at my workplaces that thought they can dislike a brotha and I just there cashing checks and got better brothas outside of work to network with and better looking sistas to spend my check with. If you haven’t noticed, they are all trying to come for your agency to stop you or demoralize you from recognizing yourself as a firefly.

That’s why you have to build from the web site as the central platform and control everything from there.

Optimization Through Web Sites Built With AI

Let’s create this scenario of one of my Afroasiatic Akiba out there who moved to Kuala Lumpur, the only place in Asia where Americans can go for 90 days and do both business and tourist visa-free.  She went there and started up a Blasian talent agency to cultivate and market international-grade models for a multi-cultural world.

In previous times, this would be hard but with AI, she can plan, design, and implement the entire agency possibly in those 90 days to get enough footing to get the business off the ground and start booking sessions.

Let me explain something before I move on - we Black Americans and we start a business or enterprise anywhere in this world. Me and you can start a business at the public library surrounded by homeless and mental Black folks with a laptop and some AI prompting. We can move to KL right now and do a 90-day financial challenge and come back different.

With AI, Claude or Gemini or ChatGPT can show us how to create newsletters, integrate an AI chatbot, run video conferences through HTML5. We can ask it to create the JavaScript or REACT code to update and refresh web pages in real-time as well. Then we can have an AI test and harden our web platform to be more secure and ADA compliant. We got all the tools to make it work with AI nowadays.

That’s why it’s more important to focus on a web site because with AI, you can build everything you can do on an app with a web site. Another important factor is some countries cannot use SMS or 2-factor authentication and you want alternatives or easier ways to register and login for those users, such as Southeast Asia or the Middle East.

It is also cheaper and lower cost for you to maintain and improve on a web site with AI Agents rewriting HTML and JavaScript while you sleep at night and prototype the new features before you publish them to the web hosting service. It’s nothing but advantages sticking to web sites as the central platform.

Managing Afrocentricity Through Telemetry

One benefit of the web is you can view your numbers correctly. I have audited Facebook and saw more incoming links from Facebook than what Facebook reports as the number of viewers who saw my post on their platform. You want to know the key performance indicators or KPIs to make sure you are hitting goals and making progress with your platform.

The best practice is establishing a telemetry API service where you can ship your data logs to be analyzed later. The best solution is to create an API service that can accept your logs and write to a file in a cloud storage and provide cloud replication for backup.

You want to store logs that contain user activity, errors and exceptions encountered, resource monitoring, system events such as web server recycling, incoming links from social media and other web sites. As these events happen, you have code that can write them to a file on the web server and a scheduled job picks them up and post line by line to the telemetry API that will store the logs in a cloud.

Then you have your AI agent or procedural workflow you can create with command line or N8N pull the data from that API and store in Google Drive if you on the 1TB plan then connect to Claude or Gemini and have it analyze the data and create a report for you every morning as you drink your matcha tea looking out of your apartment in Tokyo, living the Afroasiatic lifestyle.

You owning your web sites gives you full control of understanding who is coming in and who is coming out. I've seen people on YouTube complain that their YouTube channel views and subscribers dropped without explanation but on your web site, you will have more control in understanding what happened.

Start asking questions to AI such as what they think happened that caused the increase in views and what to draw from the content and audience reaction? You start getting introspective and in a way, your AI can start learning from that data and begin to help you write better content or perform the content creation task as an agent.

Match Our Purpose with the Best Opportunity and Efficient Tools

Whether you are Afropunk or Afroasiatic, we have to move at our own agency and realize our self-ecosystem is the biggest gift we all can bring to manifest true Black media. No more gatekeepers or Black status quo picking and choosing from us telling us some 40 under 40 listicles like the goofy cats at Black Enterprise magazine.

The majority of us who will be making tremendous changes are not under 40 - many of them are in their 50s and some in their 60s with experience under the belt and AI can supplement their already advanced knowledge and experience. So the whole 40 under 40 doesn't mean much of anything in this paradigm.

Start building from a web site first and use AI to help you. The best solution is to buy a web template for your platform then have AI modify the template to your style and improve on the design and wire up the template to your database and other services.

The cool thing is you can build and deploy to a stage server quickly to make changes and updates with AI and teach it to improve and publish the fixes on its own and you just price the final approval button.

Your self-ecosystem should use a web platform because it is an universal standard and you can quickly connect to API services, capture forms, capture telemetry data, and know your real numbers that you can feed to an AI to make further analysis and suggestions for improvement.

The Afroasiatic movement is going to start with web sites, not apps or on social media as the official platform to build and grow. There is no need to make things more complicated and hard when we will achieve the same goal of reaching our tribe to provide a value stream.
