The rapid pace of innovation and implementation of new and disruptive ideas means a lot of people are clinging to old and outdated concepts and practices. We are looking at a K-shaped economic situation where a lot of people are quietly being marginalized while a new technocratic elite and corporatism are increasing in power and influence throughout the world.

You have to be a different person and you have to rebuild who you are in this world and landscape. Let me explain some new shifts really quicks:

Global Scale. You have to build for a global audience. You have to work with global talent. You may have to manufacture and distribute your hustle to global markets. These days of “Black media” just entertaining Black folks because of Blackity-Black is a boutique novelty operation. Are you still talking “Black media” when Korean media got global hits like Squid Games? Whether you sitting at a bar in Seattle or Shanghai, you going to run into another brotha/sista, and you going say what’s up to them and realize a new generation of global Black folks are out there – you may run into Black people from other places and see new paradigms of Blackness at the global level.

Pass-Through Platforms. You don’t have to build or spend money on infrastructures anymore – you pass your value through existing platforms like social media sites and cloud services. You can build followers you convert into customers by demonstrating value to the customers to take action. Again, you cannot just think American – you need to know platforms that exist outside the USA as well and some of them have a bigger market size than your audience in America. You can use SubStack, Clubhouse, Spotify podcast, and more as a way to build up your empire.

Omni-Channel Revenue. You don’t focus on just cash as a way to get your wealth up. You can reinvest in tax credit strategies, investing strategies and make money from existing money. You can open a store that accepts buy-now-pay-later mobile apps as payment as well as Chinese payment providers and through Cash App in addition to credit card acceptance. You can accept account payables or prepaid, monthly subscriptions, and more and have plenty of vendors and plenty of options. You can even accept payments from voice-control, chatbots, and ID badges.

Streaming Event Data. The days of the database as the first storage are coming to an end. Data nowadays is going to be streamed where we focus on data snapshots. Think of a video game character you are playing – all the attributes such as health and inventory are updated constantly as the video game character goes around fighting battles and picking up things. Or a stock price with a constantly updated stock price. Our lives are driven by events, not stored data. This means we handle data by having to manage a real-time current snapshot, not pulling old data from a database. This makes data handling cheaper where only relevant data is available only in real-time. Cached data is the first source of data in a real-time paradigm.

Look, the average person around you doesn’t understand these things but you do. You need to reset who you associate with; reset the environment you are in and be around those who are moving in this new direction. There are no pre-2019 that is relevant right now; that is nothing but nostalgia. Everything is new and this is not the first time in history. This is time for you to make real things happen and industrial global level moves happen.

At this juncture, we going to have two paths. The first path is people trying to go back to a false sense of a “new normal” where they return to work; return to conspicuous consumption and pretend everything going to be the same again by going back to the club and shopping malls and doing old pre-2019 stuff.  The second path is those who are seeing the new paradigm; crypto as a medium of exchange and investment asset; blockchain as an assertive system of trust; digital workflows as the new organization model; cyber centers with windowless buildings as the flow of trade in communities.

Here is what are we going to do – those that want to reach new heights, realize there are no precedents. Your paradigm shift journey will make you feel lonely and isolated by the non-reset folks. The non-reset folks are trying to return back to something pre-2019 because they don’t know how to handle change and evolution.  You are going to have to move hard around this world and global spaces and be among people who are making moves just like you. It is not expensive or hard to travel to places like Singapore, Tokyo, London, Warsaw, San Jose in Costa Rica, and more to meet folks making global moves.

Sit down and learn things like Jenkins, Kafka, building microservices, and caching JSON objects and you going to discover this stuff is fun, easy, and high-paying. You going to have a nice life and see plenty of new paradigm opportunities no one actually put together yet. Read real books, be around real discussions on the new future we got ahead of us. Cause we are not going back to that pre-2019 era. Those people are going to quickly phase out.
