Building Urban Cyber Centers in Urban Communities
In the article cover photo, I need you to pay close attention to the two buildings to understand this article. These two buildings are in Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan, the first is a Sega game room – used to have these in Chicago downtown (Treasure Chest) and New York City Times Square (Playland) in the 1980s. The other building is Softmap that sells used computers, tablets, and other electronics – I usually buy tablets and high-end used Sony Walkman players from here. While I’m talking about this – anybody Black in Japan got something to say about who doing what? Ok, thought so.
I want you to focus on the photo and notice there are no windows on the side of these buildings. I also want you to notice the huge advertising signs on the outside. These buildings are representative of a future urban component known as a cyber center – buildings specifically designed for digital solutions in a community like a commercial center.
Cyber centers are the next iteration in our Toshikiso platform road map and are inevitable. These are going to be buildings not primarily designed for consumer traffic but will host computer servers and be installed right in city centers to drive digital, commerce, and information. These buildings are projected to deliver nearly $500k-$1million/square foot in the same period the average storefront be lucky to deliver $200/square foot because of the amount of data processing that will happen and billed 24/hours a day. While these clout-chasers were following so-called real-estate flippers, we are going to show how the real cyber future of real estate going to work, these basic characters can come to sit down and get lectured.
Cyber Center versus Data Center Concept
The first thing people will think of when it comes to a cyber center is they will assume this is a data center. Let’s explain the difference.
A data center host servers for enterprise clients who lease space sharing server racks and space. Please note big tech like Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon have their own private data centers. So, think of a data center as a place that focuses on hosting servers.
A cyber center has servers but they are specialized to perform tasks. A cyber center can be compared to a big central processing unit with a very huge service bus. The cyber center will be processing digital information through its facility but it will be used for a specific purpose – operate as a smart city plug-in.
Another big difference is a cyber center is located in a commercial sector and its exterior façade can host advertising and video jumbotrons and serves as a focal point of that commercial sector. A portion of the cyber center can host space for an exhibit or a commercial leasing space.
If you want to look at progress and history leading up to a cyber center, think of the town square with people announcing the news to the public, think of the church bells like the Norte Dame ringing on the hour or during an event, think of clock towers like Big Ben that would display the time for everybody to sync to. Today a cyber center delivers digital information and workflows for that same community in the 21st century.
Cyber Center Features
Cyber centers will look very much like the futuristic buildings you see in science fiction or cyberpunk fiction. The components of a cyber center are the following:
Digital Showroom. The digital showroom will be on the ground level for customer access. This area will be a screen-first showroom for customers to have digital experiences.
Huge Advertising Signage. These can be fixed signage or digital signage although it is likely going to be digital to rotate advertisements. This is going to be a huge revenue generator to support the center and add to the local economy.
Operations Center. This will be a room full of large monitors and a few cyber specialists who are making sure everything is running.
Specialized Servers. These are servers that are designed specifically for the cyber center function. Think of a bitcoin mining operation, these will be the same kind of servers optimized for the cyber center.
Cooling Units. Servers can get hot and fans are not good enough, there has to be a way to remove the heat from the building. There are a lot of options depending on the climate from cooling pipes to AC fans to vents. Heat can also be transferred and sold as heating energy to supply heating where needed.
This building will likely be a cornerstone to any community when established as it will be a major distribution of data. Once established, the advertising can feature local businesses, local news on a major jumbotron, and an attraction for people to come to visit.
Cyber Center Technology
Now that you understand a cyber center role and that it is not a data center, let’s talk about the technology that will drive a cyber center which is all future-facing of emerging technology:
5G and WLAN broadcasts. Many of you hear about 5G in mobile phones but 5G has been around for nearly 20-30 years as WLAN – those little antennas you see on top of buildings. This technology will allow fast networks to run smart city components like weather detection, surveillance, smart buses as well as support commercial buildings like stores and more services to support schools and churches' digital needs.
Event-Driven Microservices. This is how the data flow will work but on a very huge scale and pipeline. The computers are designed to flow in messages, process messages, and produce output. Millions or billions of messages can be handled per hour through a cyber center to do everything from process orders for a storefront, manage sports leagues and stream local traded companies' stock data on ticker boards.
Edge Nodes. These are distributed network nodes that will host redundant data for backups and faster proximity access to data and services. For example, the school systems can have their own nodes to maintain grades data and student data, and other information from the cyber center and if the cyber center goes down, they can keep going with their data. If their system goes down, the cyber center can restore their data to another node at a different location in the USA and switch that school system to use a node in Arizona until the primary node is restored. Hackers and saboteurs are going to be upset getting arrested and didn’t even disrupt the operations, lol. Even the cyber center can be offloaded to a data center in the suburbs so resiliency is built in through distributed nodes.
Streaming Data. This allows data to be streamed during transport instead of fully downloaded. This works for both streaming media like movies and audio and streaming text like stock ticker updates or news updates. This is a major game-changer as a barbershop can have their client list streamed to their digital board to update appointments, cancellations, who show up, and what changes in real-time. I know what you thinking right now – autonomous barbershops with contract barbers like Uber drivers. Same with laundromats and gyms, streaming equipment assignments or even stream exercise sessions like Peloton to home subscribers.
That’s the whole point – cyber centers are a major technology game-changer bringing in new paradigms or opportunities and enablement we have not seen before. A cyber center can facilitate an entrepreneur to create a local customer support network where they can create product return centers for local merchants, social media/telephone/chat customer support centers. A doctor can perform in-home telemedicine and checkups and have monitoring systems at patient households to be alerted if a sick person needs immediate attention. I hope you understand what is being discussed here and realize once we plug a cyber center in any community around the world, everything will change.
Digital Experience Center at Cyber Centers
The ground floor of a cyber center can host digital experiences for customers. This space will be screen-first and host flat screens as the interactive touchpoint. Let’s talk about the type of new digital experiences:
NFT Exhibits. The space can be used to showcase NFT art for sale by local creatives. Don’t think just artwork, you can create a political movement like ADOS and have unique ADOS visuals to sell as a political fundraiser/networking event for ADOS. The NFT space is bigger than people doing right now. You can do video clips of street basketball dunks and Instagram posts that had a whole bunch of likes sold as a unique NFT.
QR Shopping. Most likely the primary use. You can host pictures of products and services just like an e-commerce website and the customer can check out on their mobile phone after scanning a QR code. In fact, your e-commerce web service should be able to export all products to display on each screen as a single web page with just a QR code displayed. Not only products but you can sell food services like an upscale restaurant to scan and make reservations. This is also a major source of drop culture where people can come in a pre-order item on the screen and test demand for what product has the most demand.
Digital Content Subscriptions. This is where media companies can display news stories and have a QR code to sign up for a subscription. It could be a paid blog, SubStack, Only Fans, Patreon, paid podcast, or more. For example, this Dream and Hustle blog can stream our popular articles on a certain theme on every screen and have a QR code to download the single article or offer a subscription.
Teleservice Center. The screens will be configured as kiosks or partitioned spaces with a camera to speak to a live person. For example, to rent a car, talk to a banker, talk to a doctor, ask for advice on how to deal with a landlord or workplace issues, and more.
Digital Trade Shows. Can be used to support business-to-business exhibitions. For example, show buyers and suppliers of an industry. Also, can be used to run a seminar that shows trends and practices of a given industry such as video loops of hairstyles and how to apply and purchase the video instructions.
Exchange Trading. The space can be used to list micro-cap stocks for a local exchange to support public-traded companies in the hood or elsewhere. Show the stock prices, crypto prices and the person can trade from their mobile phone but hang out and just check out the prices and talk shop among each other.
Before we go forward, I’m hoping you catch a clue at all the opportunities and possibilities and realize we are in a new era, a new paradigm shift. Yes, there is a Great Reset and a Great Resignation but you got to know what we are transitioning to. And cyber centers are going to transition any broken neighborhood into a true urban renewal using digital-first businesses and solutions. Because guess who going to be the one creating this new era of businesses? Yeah, you are.
Cyber Center Investing and Crowdfunding
Cyber centers are a disruptive gamechanger not only in technology capacity but real estate. You are going to see a massive gold rush into establishing cyber centers and turning communities into cyberpunk backdrops of buildings dedicated to processing data and not commercial offices with humans. If someone wants to open up a coffee shop, all they have to do is add some screens and put QR stickers on tables and their backroom operations, point-of-sale operations are running through a cyber center and they are in business immediately and paying a monthly subscription service. That is a massive game-changer for real estate markets.
Cyber centers are going to be next-generation high-value real estate assets as they both drive economic activity and digital operations. Unlike traditional real estate where a lot of space is leased to a tenant, a cyber center will process billions of transactions per hour with revenue generated from each transaction, meaning revenue is generated all day and can scale up with more capacity for more revenue. In addition, the advertising revenue from the video jumbotrons is already profitable and will be taking in ads from all over the world to promote products and also syndication fees for news and information.
No one needs to sell the value of a cyber center – it sells itself. So, with that said, we are looking at crowdfunding projects to attract investors to become stakeholders in a cyber center. We can look at options such as a SPAC in a large-scale cyber center proposal or we can look at just investors in one cyber center as a single corporation who are paid dividends from the profits and can be acquired later by a larger firm with a bigger payout. We can also operate cyber centers on our own as an equity-method affiliate from a Toshikiso standpoint.
Yeah, Guess It’s Time for Some Real Talk
Now that you see how awesome a cyber center can transform a community into new possibilities and paradigms, there is something me and you need to discuss – the elephant in the room. This whole concept was discovered and refined by a Black man from the West Side of Chicago and the cumulation of articles and research here on Dream and Hustle. If you have been reading my blog, you know everything above was discussed on Dream and Hustle over 10 years as solutions to implement – the cyber center is a concentrated answer to those years of articles and solutions.
Do you understand the modeled location solution was Madison and Pulaski on the West Side of Chicago, where I’m from? I went to Tokyo over and over, other places around the world to learn how to apply true patterns and practices to help empower my people, uplift my community and contribute value to the Black community, that was the original goal and purpose – do for mines.
But I did not get thanks in return from the Black community – I got some shitty attitudes from the Black community despite the fact this train was rolling and gaining momentum. Black folks decided they wanted to chase fuckery and follow charlatans flossing money on social media. I was spending real money investing in my people while these Instagram clowns were spending their money to floss like they were rich to these thirsty ass clout-chasing motherfuckers. I ain’t forgot a damn thing how the Black community acted on this journey. I chose to give a fuck about my people and in return, was shitted on.
But before I go, let me explain two points because we are at the moment of causation in the Black community and the global economic realities, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. First, in the Art of War, it teaches to prepare for the battle so you already won the war before you step foot on the battlefield. I already won this shit, just to let you know.
See, Toshikiso API is the cyber center, homey – I wondered if folks figured that out by now. These buildings are nothing but gigantic-scaled computer boxes for Toshikiso, that’s how powerful Toshikiso is. We have already attracted real money interested in our solution from around the world. We can easily do something like host Toshikiso on Alibaba cloud and power some emerging city centers in Southeast Asia and keep the Black community clueless on the moves. Our biggest support is coming from Southeast Asia, right now.
Our second-biggest emerging support community – Gen Z throughout America is comprised of many ethnicities who are entering this new paradigm. We can plug this solution in places from Denver to Austin in city center spaces promoting local fiscalism. But we have more opportunities in the UK, France, Dubai, Qatar, South Africa (got love for SA), Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and more. That means I’m already more valuable and scalable than those lightweight characters the Black community is clout-chasing on Instagram, all of them and all of them is beneath me and the current state of the journey right now.
I’m thankful for those who have Early Adopters status who supported me and they can move how they wish with Toshikiso – everything is done, Toshikiso is greenlighted. I just took my third shot as well as the flu shot and trying to get over the side effects right now. Once I’m good, we are all good. I have no interest in plugging in a cyber center model with folks who did not appreciate what I was doing and were busy chasing bullshit. We are going to move where we appreciated and do business with customers that appreciate what we got to offer.
No one can help anybody who cannot be helped or act nutty when you trying to help them. We can build it but we cannot lead anybody who ain’t ready for the mission. That’s the real talk because our people are not even ready for anything I outlined in this article and that’s the real sad story because a real brotha from the West Side of Chicago built this shit, that’s the bittersweet part of this awesome game-changing disruptive story.
