The DNC Nine, formerly referred to as the Divine Nine has sold themselves out to the Democratic Party and became politically partisan. The DNC Nine has broken a social contract with the Black community instead of being a pillar, they chosen to pander to Democrats and meddle into politics.

Got goofy members like Roland Martin, Steve Harvey, Rickey Smiley running around wearing their Greek letters inappropriately to pander for a political candidate – that isn’t what any of the founders envisioned their organization would turn out to be – blasphemy! Ring the handbell and shout “shame!”, “shame!” when you see these Black Greeks walking on campus.

The young brothas and sistas have better things to take care of now than play around with Black fraternities and sororities who have compromised political agents running their organizations. Until these Pan-Hellenic characters return to the social contract of being a nonpartisan pillar, you brothas and sistas should look at doing something different.

There are a lot of new paradigms and unprecedented events going on facing current Black college students. First, you must compete with cheaper overseas students for the high-paying white-collar jobs.

You don’t submit resumes or wear a nice suit anymore – you must apply online to Workday AI Hiring Platform that does screening and appear to choose the non-native American in their 20s and 30s, according to pending lawsuits. In addition, you must take a quiz or test and go through rounds of elimination. Then you have a video screening interview and by that time, it is unlikely any Black candidate was in the final 250 choices.

AI technology is also creating a problem. The biggest group affected by AI are entry-level college graduates entering the workforce. The companies have been advised it is cheaper to pay a middle-level employee an extra $10,000 and give them AI coding workflow software to perform their job with an AI assistant versus hire an entry level to train in a new role. No more six-figure entry job for you! No more!

Look at the cost of housing and cost of food and groceries. So your brothers and sistas need to change your whole approach to making it and rising differently than what anybody older than you had to do. You must accept this realization and start adjusting.

So seriously, leave the DNC Nine alone, they are compromised and stuck on stupid and won’t change until they realize the whole Black Greek system has lost it relevancy trying to focus on pandering to the Democratic Party. You seriously don’t got time to get caught up in that mess and quite frankly, I don’t see how they can help or benefit any of you brothas and sistas in college right now due to AI and globalization.

You brothas and sistas should be focusing on joining or creating new college clubs that are relevant to the future you are facing.  Here are the type of clubs you need to create as Black college students in 2025 and from now on to remain relevant and have a fighting chance.

Black & Asian Friendship Club. This club is designed to create a bond between Black and Asian students to have cultural and language exchange. We are moving Afroasiatic and the jobs are moving to Asia and opportunities are moving to Asia as well. The goal is to learn how to speak a foreign language, learn customs and how to cook, respect each other holidays and participate in events. Develop global lifelong friendships from around the world.

DJ Spinning Club. This is a club that teaches how to DJ and host DJ sets. We covered this topic and it’s an important topic. You brothas and sistas need new revenue streams instead of a main job and DJ is not the old gig setup anymore. You can DJ almost anywhere around the world and you need a tight network to land gigs, create a DJ pool, or create your own DJ festival on campus. Don’t make this a Black thing, bring in people from all backgrounds with different interest and learn how to mix multiple styles of music.

AI Prompt and Production Club. As you may have heard, Google have announced a Gemini Free Pro Plan for Students for one year. This is a powerful platform that is free and give you students massive runway to learn next generation business models and applications to create streams of revenue. You students need to get together and learn how to create study aids, how to generate art and software, teach others how to use AI, and build your resume up with AI skills and breakthroughs.

Entrepreneurs and Empires Club. This is for students who want to learn how to start up a business, how to invest, learn how digital assets work, and overall get the money up for their future. The goal is to research and share information among each other and discuss and take away knowledge everybody can use. This also create a lifelong network of friends and colleagues aligned with your goals to financial success and yall end up in Bali as life coaches and social media influencers.

All of what I gave as example are real-world preparations to the diverse and competitive landscape you undergrad students are facing. Like I said before, you don’t got time for the Black identity goofy stuff. The DNC Nine lost their way and you got to let them figure themselves out and handle yours.

We are moving Afroasiatic, folks are setting up in Thailand and Vietnam, hanging out in Korea and Japan, and sourcing products to sell globally from China, and sourcing talent from the Philippines to work in Dubai. Don’t look back at the hood or any of that nonsense that is declining and will be obsolete by the time you are ready to take on the world.

Start a new school club this fall and spring and build up new. You must take ownership of the future ahead of you and realize none of us can speak on what you are facing. You are the change you are looking for and you are the one that must change everything around you to be up to task when things get real out here.
