The Number One Country You Should Consider Moving To in 2023
There are a lot of people having discussions about moving out of the USA. Some are talking Mexico, some are talking Dubai, and others are talking Ghana. The problem is these brothas and sistas are talking out the side of their necks. Even the ones moving to Portugal or Korea, are using YouTube to try to pay for their new ex-pat life, but they cannot hide the struggles you see written on their face that they not really enjoying it that much.
Keep in mind most of our people who talking about moving overseas are runners – they are running away from something. Actually, I don’t blame them, I recommend some brothas and sistas do run away. I wouldn’t run to Mexico nor would I run anywhere in Africa. The only place I can see someone running off to is Japan – if you are Black and have never been to Japan then you do not know, plain and simple because if you did, you wouldn’t come back. Japan is the only true place that will give you the peace and new paradigm you are looking for.
The reason I’m considering moving to Dubai is the financial and enterprise advantages, tax advantages, talent pool advantage, and geographic advantage to Europe, Africa, Asia, and back to the Americas. Now if that is not someone's motivation to move, then we need to know why are they saying they want to leave America. We need to find out the real personal problem and personal issues they struggling with because moving won’t solve them.
Let’s have an honest conversation, about why Black folks want to leave the USA.
Retirement. This is the number one reason Black folks are leaving, they got their Social Security check and possibly a pension or retirement account funds and choosing to live out their golden years in a new space and place. There was recent news of Ghana giving African-American citizenship, if you see the video notice how all of them are old and grayed out.
Lower Cost of Living. This is conjecture. Many Black people argue moving to Mexico or Ghana offers lower cost of housing and higher quality benefits such as medical and education. This is straight bullcrap and don’t you buy this nonsense. There is a reason some places are cheap – because they do not provide services or have safety nets in place. I have seen over and over, people say but when you hear an American get sick overseas and have to pay $80,000 for medical expenses overseas, the rose-colored glasses end, and things get real on that lie about the cheaper cost of living overseas.
Escapism. Black people claim they want to get away from the American structured racism. But the reality is Black people really want to get away from other Black people – let’s be honest because that is the real truth. Black men don’t like these stank attitude sistas when Latinas be just as thick and curvy and be smiling and treating a brotha nicely. Black women don’t like these bum ass brothas she got to choose from but she hates the culture of American Black women validating these bum ass brothas and need a better sista circle like in Rotterdam or Paris. Also get away from these sheepish Democrat voters, these hustling Black nationalists, the Black-on-Black gun violence, and just overall disrespect from other Black people in America. Let’s all be honest about who Black people are really trying to get away from – us.
Black Americans moving overseas is one of those YouTube memes like Black outdoor camping – we will discuss the camping thing very soon. You see a lot of anecdotal discussions but again, you are not getting the details that you really need to factor in a decision to leave America. What you need to realize right now in 2023 is that the USA is the only place you need to keep your feet planted and stay for the average Black person or couple.
Let’s explain why.
Social Safety. You have government assistance and government checks in the mail. I was at Kroger here in Atlanta and saw a grown Indian man with his wife and kids all smiling with their WIC vouchers buying up a whole bunch of stuff, they had no safety net back in India if they lost their job. I be dating chicks in America who buy me a box of cereal and milk using her WIC for driving her and her baby to Kroger, I won’t get free cereal and milk like that from a chick in Ghana, would I? Child tax credit at the beginning of the year, trying to get these sistas to break a brotha off some of that rapid refund so I can buy a video game. Food banks, clothing drives, free medical checkups - America is the biggest country in the world that takes care of its citizen more than any other nation in the world and that is a fact.
Ever Changing Horizons. We know Atlanta used to be the place for Black people to move to but now we see all these negative Chicago and New York folks moving down here with that nonsense they should have left back up North, ruining the southern vibe. But we are seeing new areas for Black people from Omaha, Nebraska to Austin, Texas becoming new hotspots for Black people to find new opportunities and new communities to migrate to. There are no new paradigms to learn, there is a YouTube video of a woman from Philly with Section 8 who got her Section 8 transferred to Honolulu, Hawaii, and she lives in a decent pad over in Hawaii now. It’s plenty of moves that can be made right here in America without the radical cultural shift.
It's important to understand the difference between a real global citizen ex-pat versus someone romanticizing the thought of moving away from America. You have to look at me personally, for example, working in technology. I have worked and managed teams of Europeans, Indians, Filipinos, and other global talents worldwide with outsourcing as a standard model in technology projects. I also had to travel the world on technology assignments working with people overseas. So I have real exposure to the international lifestyle and if I said I’m moving to Dubai, it will not be a shock transition for me and I will be able to build up a real global team based on my experience. There is another reason I don’t have a problem moving to Dubai and that has something to do with me not eating pork like the rest of these Xtian Black folks.
Most brothas and sistas, have ADOS roots and they cannot just up and run overseas because most of them have a small-minded mentality and cannot make adjustments. I have seen Black folks move to Tokyo and I get it perfectly, Japan is an awesome place and you will love it if you take a vacation there and solo travel around the country and dream of moving there. But Japan can make you feel very isolated and lonely even if you are surrounded by hundreds of people walking on the street with you. But the travel ban imposed from 2020 to 2022 has devastated a lot of people stuck in Japan and their businesses had to close down because of the COVID restrictions leaving people in a very bad situation.
See, you have to understand moving overseas has very high risk and if something goes wrong and you do not have the funds and we talking 6-7 figures, millionaire basically, then you going to find yourself in a really bad space or a substandard space. Moving to Thailand is nice but if you get killed, they plaster your bloody and mangled body in raw death form all up in their media, and that stuff is printed on the Internet for your family and friends back home to see. Most of these countries are moving in a direction where if you do not have more than $500,000 invested, they don’t want you over there and these are the first-tiered countries. The other countries are third-world or emerging markets like Ghana are the ones trying to silver-plate African-Americans to think that is a good choice.
In summary, leave the global jet-setting and global moves to the professionals and global citizens who know how to get around this world. The average Black person in America needs to realize there is nothing better than America for them. The only other option outside of America and this is again advanced is moving to Mexico near the border in Southern California but that is extreme but at least you can quickly find your way back to America. The only good option is to find a new city in America to settle down and quickly start that new life you wanted which is what you are really after at the end of the day.
