Project Butter Claw: How We Developing AI Agentic Solutions for Enterprise and Everyday Use
In this article, we want to share some insights on our AI Agentic solution we have called Project Butter Claw. Before we get started, project names do not equal brand name, it will unlikely end up being called ButterClaw the same way our blockchain solution was called Project Block Panther, it has a new name within the Toshikiso API stack.
AI Agents are disruptive because of the ability to load “skills” to execute tasks such as view folders, send messages, perform a task to a preset schedule, perform research on its own. It will eliminate a lot of lame cushy jobs where someone just writes something up or analyzes numbers - the computer will perform this task.
Your position should always be to stay on top of things that can change your landscape and your current situation. On one hand, AI Agents can take your job, on the other hand, you can use AI Agents to help you build low-effort entrepreneurial ventures much easier than before. Our goal here is to help you realize this technology and how we plan to implement it in our Toshikiso ecosystem.
We Were Already There With Agent Technology
Toshikiso Hubs are physical or virtual spaces that can support compute and data processing for an entire community or region. The hub serves as a location that can stream media like a TV station, music and audio programs like a radio station, manage shops like a mall, and stream software solutions like a SaaS platform. Notice with the Jumbotron, we can serve advertisements, information, and videos like the Jumbotrons in Tokyo.
We already had a solution that performs analysis and automated tasks for businesses to help them grow - that is the role of Tina Holmes our AI agent and nothing has changed. What we are going to do is use the components and scale them down to an AI agent that can be offered as a product and service.
Our Toshikiso Hub solution consists of a saga/task that was defined within Toshikiso where merchants can define their own or load one of our custom workflows to do everything from identifying quality customers and upgrade them to a membership or exclusives to optimizing inventory and cash flow to keep business margins healthy. We already have this knowledge and capability.
Project Butter Claw will be the implementation of AI Agents by reusing and repurposing some of our technology in Toshikiso to create an “edge” processing that exists at the merchant location or the consumer device. This also takes processing power from our central location and distributes it throughout the community the Toshikiso Hub is supporting.
Design and Components
AI Agents perform differently than workflow automation software. It is important to understand this part to have an idea of how agents work. The agents operate in what is known as an AI Agent Loop that is basically a feedback loop until it believes it can solve the solution provided. You will see AI models with the option “Thinking” and that is the process of the AI trying to determine how to solve the goal and meet the objectives presented in the user prompt.
Perceive. The agent is given instructions as a natural language prompt such as “calculate the click-through rate from social media postings by platform” and will know the platforms from the MCP data store or memory store and see if it has previous performance data to compare yesterday to today and create other trends and diagrams. It will define what the solution will be at this point.
Plan. The AI agent then starts thinking, how do they solve this problem? It will begin formulating the steps to take, what tools to use, and create an execution plan.
Act. The AI agent will execute the plan by loading skills and making API calls to retrieve data or call services to execute remote tasks or loading command line interfaces such as Toshikiso CLI and will ensure each step is completed successfully.
Reflect. After execution and an output was created, the AI will verify the output matches the original goal to verify if successful or failure. The AI agent will also store the task in memory and any details of the task as context to remember in the future as an improvement model to constantly learn. If the AI feels it fell below expectation it goes back to creating a new plan to execute and keep trying until it feels it accomplished the goal.
You should automatically see an issue with the current AI agent landscape. It is thinking too much in real time instead of carrying out the task as you told it to do. This is where we hear stories of AI agents deleting someone's entire hard drive or sending out sensitive information to an API because it had access. Or better yet, it keeps rethinking and planning over and over because it cannot meet the objective and crash out altogether.
As an expert in tech, this is what I call the “dork syndrome” because it’s a goofy in Silicon Valley that want the idealism of a self-thinking AI agent instead of the business reality of a solid workflow that has to reliable 100% of the time or money and clients are going to be lost. No one can afford an AI to be randomly thinking when you ask it to do something - it needs to know exactly the steps and just execute it.
Butter Claw Use Cases
Our approach with Butter Claw is to focus on a realistic business enterprise grade solution. We do not want an AI agent to think how to do something - it has to know how to do it or it does not do it at all. That AI agent is to serve the bidding of the operator that instructs it to perform tasks.
In addition and this is the concern of Open Claw is there need to be a sandboxed data store. No AI agent should be randomly going through your hard drive looking for files and data. You need to have a space where you add information, instructions, context, concepts for it to look at and think through.
Imagine going to court and the judge just grab all your papers and look at anything they want and make a judgement instead of you presenting evidence to build your case. That’s not how we want the AI agent to work and will restrict it to a container or space to perform action against.
We are developing two editions of our AI agent, one for business and another for individuals.
Consumer Edition. This AI agent will be for desktop use and can be used for household automation, music and media management, financial planning and strategies, and life goal building. We have an existing product called Dreams Never Ends that used graph technology that we are moving to vector-based and likely will be the consumer edition of Butter Claw and there will be a version available on Kossier as well on our roadmap journey.
Commercial Edition. This version is for businesses and enterprises. For business and enterprises, the focus is on teams and their roles and making sure there is a security mechanism to prevent the marketing department from accessing the account department LLMs and proprietary memory stores. This version looks at the whole business operation from top down and is able to analyze multiple things at the same time and will run on more powerful computing equipment.
Please note that we do not have to use your physical machine or a business server, we can run these from a VPS or virtual private server hosted on the cloud and we will offer this service as well.
AI Agents and the Future of Business
The goal of Project Butter Claw is to make small business more efficient. In the Black community, I see some basic hand over fist transactions and fulfillment processes we have been doing since 1926 and we are in 2026. There need to be smarter and intelligent business workflows and processes where digital transformation has to take place if small businesses want to survive.
We are in a different game now, especially post-pandemic. People are going to be ordering online or from their phone to pick up orders than walk up to a counter. People want to use a cash transfer app or perform cardless transactions with tokens. You cannot be just on some credit card swipe or cash in the drawer anymore.
Fulfillment has to be efficient. I cannot count the number of times I’ve seen sloppy business operations open up and shut down fast due to inefficiency. The biggest failure I see is that these New York style restaurants that have a big poster of menu items try to open up in the South and cannot do all those things at once while the shop next store just selling chicken plates is profitable all day, all year.
For individuals, the goal is to help them be as efficient as possible. The best way is to avoid time wasters such as scrolling through social media where the AI agent can pull the social media feed and determine at the end of the day what is worth looking at or not. The AI agent can read job ads and start preparing the individual resume for that specific role and prep them for the interview.
Project Butter Claw is still under wraps but the goal of this article is to officially inform you we are entering the age of AI agents. Either you are going to get ahead of the technology or you are going to fall behind as others learn to master what you failed to pursue.
This is a different world today, people will become more efficient, businesses will be more lean and competitive using AI agents. Stay on top of this and learn as much as you can and figure out how to make this work for you and your business.
